Communications Manager


Regen Organics is leading a regenerative agriculture and circular economy company headquartered in the US and with operations in Nairobi, Kenya. Operational since 2011, Regen manufactures regenerative agricultural inputs from residual organic waste streams. We collect and treat over 50,000T of residual organics per year, and successfully sell its agricultural end products to over 5000 farmers, who are seeing improved yields and increased incomes. These inputs include insect protein, organic fertilizer, and biomass ecofuels. We also offset over 50,000T of carbon emission per year. We have built a team of over 400 people from diverse backgrounds who solve diverse problems, but all who embody the drive, creativity, teamwork, and passion that make us achieve our goals. The Communications Manager joins us at a critical juncture. Regen Organics is the new brand of Sanergy, and we are working to position ourselves as the industry leader for climate-positive, regenerative agriculture in emerging markets. This positioning is particularly important as we ramp up expansion in Kenya and throughout sub-Saharan Africa and Asia, build strategic partnerships with large agricultural and waste management partners. As we expand, we also seek to recruit fantastic talent who are inspired by our company’s work. The manager will be uniquely responsible for developing our external communications strategy and then ensuring that we execute upon this strategy successfully. We are looking for someone who has prior experience in building communications strategies, has strong, relevant networks in media and communications, has impeccable communication skills and judgment, is relentlessly creative and able to react to changing events positively, dexterously and with inspiring energy. And above all, we are looking for someone deeply mission-aligned with our work and with our team.


  • Develop and execute Regen Organics communications strategy that builds brand awareness, attracts key audiences, and positions, Regen, as a global leader in regenerative agriculture and climate-positive solutions

  • Develop metrics for evaluating performance against strategy

  • Oversee the development of communications materials across all use cases - presentations, conferences, website, social media etc

  • Hold eye-catching, movement-shaping events - virtual and in-person - to strengthen Regen Organics’ reputation

  • Work with leadership and other external-facing teammates for speaking and media events

  • Support Regen Organics’ local brands in developing marketing collateral

  • Lead internal messaging within the company to strengthen company culture and retain talent 

  • Galvanize the team around the importance of brilliant communications

  • Lead Comms Team in the execution of above


  • 5 years of experience and proven track record in executing communications strategies 

  • Proven track record in executing targeted campaigns

  • Expertise across different types of communications platforms, including but not limited to social media, websites, in-person events 

  • “Metrics mindset” - ability to develop measurable, well-thought-out goals around brand recognition and demonstrated a track record in achieving these goals

  • Experience in shaping policy and government is a plus

  • Relevant networks in media

  • Impeccable integrity and ethics

  • Incredible written and oral communication skills

  • Inspiring leader for a team and for the organization
